PRICING & PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

 

Job Description:  Oversees the inputting and maintenance of program pricing within our ERP system. Responsibilities extend to organizing and developing enhanced performance strategies and procedures for the department. The role includes reviewing and assigning vendor pricing and program information delegated by department managers to team members for execution.

 

In addition to supervising pricing operations, this role involves providing guidance and support to others who may seek assistance with price pages or general ERP issues. Analyzing and resolving these issues efficiently contributes to the overall effectiveness of pricing processes. Skilled at accurately interpreting and calculating item costs and prices, factoring in discounts, markup, and margin.

 

Your essential functions include:

The Pricing & Program Supervisor encompass but are not limited to the following key objectives:

  • Supervise price page processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of price pages and sell sheets.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Program Managers to optimize price margins and increase company profits.
  • Assign and delegate team workloads for price page updates and EDI mapping.
  • Develop and maintain efficient procedures and performance improvement strategies.
  • Assist in vendor cost analysis and margin review.
  • Address ERP issues and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Build and lead a highly skilled and efficient team.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT Department and Vendor Management Department, with occasional vendor interactions.
  • Provide primary backup support to the price page team, assisting with various tasks including pricing, terms, notes, and sell sheets.
  • Analyze and adjust EDI Mapping, resolving discrepancies and updating vendor item codes in Navision.
  • Conduct interviews for open positions and train new employees, both domestically and internationally.
  • Manage ADP time clock submissions, adjustments, and approvals for team members.
  • Handle vacation and PTO requests.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for team members.
  • Collaborate with the HR department on personnel matters related to the team.
  • Develop updated standard operating procedures for price page processes and onboarding documents (in collaboration with a dedicated Trainer for upcoming Business Central implementation).
  • Up to 10% annual travel may be required, including but not limited to participation in brokerage leadership team (BLT) meetings and events, vendor visits, trade shows, new employee training, career development, etc.

 

Critical Experience: 

  • Preferred, but not required: Experience in horticulture or floriculture.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel-based applications.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to embrace new challenges.
  • Confident and detail-oriented with numbers, ensuring accuracy in cost/price worksheets.
  • Skilled at accurately interpreting and calculating item costs and prices, factoring in discounts, markup, and margin.
  • Excellent listening and negotiation abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to remain composed under pressure and effectively manage teams
  • Advanced aptitude in price page processes within Microsoft Navision

MARKETING SPECIALIST

Job Descripton: As a Marketing Specialist at McHutchison and Vaughan’s, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and optimizing marketing strategies that promote our product/services and enhance our brand presence. You will work closely with internal and external business teams to achieve our business objectives. The ideal candidate should possess extraordinary leadership skills to lead agency teams and vendors for on-time and on-budget project deliveries. The candidate needs to be a solid leader, clear communicator and exceptional organizational skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative marketing campaings, encompassing both online and offline channels, to achieve our business goals.

Content Creation: Create compelling and engaging marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, and manage product picture library. 

Digital Marketing: Execute digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, social media advertising, and email marketing.

Tradeshow Management: Plan and execute our presence at tradeshow and industry events. This includes booth setup logistics coordination, promotional materials and post-event follow-up. 

Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns using data and analytics tools. Use insights to make data-driven decisions and optimize strategies.

Brand Management: Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels.

Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and industry trends. Stay updated on industry trends and adjust content strategy as needed. 

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts align with business goals and customer needs. Important internal teams for collaboration include: 

  • Key Account Sales Representatives
  • Vendor Management Team
  • Supplier Product Management Teams
  • Finance/Accounting Teams   

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing
  • Proven experience in marketing with a strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools
  • Proficiency in using marketing software (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud) and analytic tools  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking
  • Ability to do moderate travel
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • BS degree in Marketing, business or relevant field
